About Anne
I am Anne Lu (they/them)- a queer, neurodivergent, Chinese American practitioner of Chinese Medicine, martial artist and 23rd generation ordained Daoist layman priest.
I grew up in the power and history of my ancestors’ wisdom, which reached me through the East Asian healing arts, martial arts and in the bone-setting, osteopathic roots of craniosacral therapy. Simultaneously, my experience in learning how to use somatic resourcing within Chinese Medicine to build internal resilience in the wake of deeply traumatic personal history, led me to become a practitioner of these therapies myself. My training with Dr. Brandt Stickley, DAOM, L.Ac at National University of Natural Medicine, College of Classical Chinese Medicine, Dr. Melinda Iglesias Wheeler, DSOM, L.Ac and Stephen Higgins at Dragon Rises Center for Wholeness and Kate Busby, L.Ac, S.E.P, shaped me into a practitioner who specializes in trauma-informed care of complex trauma and debilitating, chronic, complex illness.
I hold a Master’s in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and am currently licensed by the Oregon Medical Board (L.Ac # AC228223). As a 23rd generation ordained Daoist priest in the Complete Reality, Dragon Gate sect, I study and practice through the Qingyun Temple with Shifus Josh Paytner and Jack Schaefer, as overseen by Abbess Zhang Ming Xin of Jian Fu Gong, Mt. Qingcheng in Sichuan, China. As a martial artist, I practice and train with Sifu Pikshan Ko (5th Generation Lineage Holder, Kwong Sai Jook Lum Temple Praying Mantis School, Hong Kong, 1967), in taiji and Southern Praying Mantis style, as well as Shifu Lindsey Wei (Daoist name 魏诚灵Wei Cheng Ling, 24th generation Chun Yang Sect of Wudang Daoism).
